The More Digital the World Becomes, the More People Crave Live Experiences

Artificial intelligence, algorithms, and digital technologies are becoming an inseparable part of everyday life, yet global entertainment industry data reveals an interesting trend: the more our lives move to screens, the stronger the demand for real-life experiences becomes.

One of the world’s largest live entertainment and ticketing companies, Live Nation, recently reported strong Q1 2026 results, highlighting continued growth in live event demand. Concert attendance increased by 7%, while ticket sales grew by 11% year-over-year. According to Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, people increasingly value the opportunity to be physically present together — sharing emotions, energy, and human connection that no screen or AI system can truly replace.

This trend is becoming increasingly visible in Lithuania as well. According to Bilietai.lt, audience interest in live events remains exceptionally strong, with people actively searching for concerts, festivals, theatre performances, and sports events not only through traditional channels, but also through emerging AI-driven platforms.

“Paradoxically, the more time people spend in digital environments, the more valuable authentic live experiences become. A concert, theatre performance, or sports event is no longer just entertainment — it becomes a form of real human connection,” Bilietai.lt comments.

The company also notes that the way audiences discover events is rapidly evolving. More and more users are finding information not only through social media and search engines, but increasingly through AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. This is reshaping the entire logic of event discovery and visibility.

As a result, it is becoming increasingly important for event organizers to be present where audiences naturally search first — on the largest and most trusted ticketing platforms. Market research consistently shows that consumers rarely overthink where to buy tickets; instead, they instinctively gravitate toward the most familiar and trusted platform.

“The live entertainment industry is entering a fascinating phase. Technology and AI are not reducing people’s desire for live experiences — quite the opposite. They are reinforcing just how valuable real emotional connection truly is,” Bilietai.lt representatives say.

Industry experts believe this trend will continue to strengthen in the coming years: as the world becomes increasingly digital, live experiences will become even more important in people’s lives.
